How to delete pages from a PDF

Our page-deletion tool lets you visually pick out and remove specific pages from a PDF. See every page as a thumbnail, click to mark the ones to delete, and download the trimmed result. Runs entirely in the browser; the original PDF is untouched and your file never uploads.

    Step-by-step guide

    1. Upload the PDF. Drop in the file. Thumbnails render automatically.
    2. Click pages to select them for deletion.Selected pages get a red overlay and a trash icon. Click again to deselect.
    3. Bulk-select with the buttons. Use Select All or Deselect All to toggle every page at once.
    4. Review the count. The action button shows exactly how many pages will be removed before you confirm.
    5. Delete and download. Click the red button. The trimmed PDF downloads automatically.

When delete is the right move

    • Trimming blank pages at the end of scanned documents.
    • Removing confidential pages before sharing externally.
    • Stripping marketing covers or appendices you don't need.
    • Removing draft pages from a review document before finalising.
    • Cutting irrelevant sections from a research paper or report.

    Delete vs split vs reorder

    • Delete pages: you want the result as one PDF with fewer pages. (This tool.)
    • Split PDF: you want specific ranges as separate PDFs. Use Split PDF.
    • Reorder pages: you don't want to remove pages, just shuffle them. Use Reorder PDF.

    Safety features

    • You can't delete every page. At least one page must remain — the tool blocks empty-output deletions.
    • The original is never modified. Your source file on disk is untouched. Click the wrong pages? Deselect and try again.
    • Clear selection counter. The action button shows the number of pages that will be removed before you commit.

    Frequently asked questions

Will the remaining pages be re-numbered?

PDFs don't store "numbers" as data — page numbers are either visible on the page itself (which stays) or inferred from position (which shifts automatically). If your pages have printed numbers that now look wrong, strip them and re-add with Add Page Numbers.

    Is the deletion reversible?

Not from the output file — but your source PDF is never touched, so you can re-upload and try again.

Does deletion shrink file size proportionally?

Usually yes, but not linearly — shared resources (fonts, embedded images that were used on multiple pages) may still be included.

Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?

Unlock it first with Unlock PDF.

Do my files leave my device?

    No. Everything is done client-side.
