Reorder PDF Pages

    How to reorder PDF pages

Our page-reordering tool lets you drag-and-drop PDF pages into any sequence you want. Each page shows as a thumbnail with both its current position and its original page number, so you always know what you're moving. Reordering is lossless — pages are copied into the new order without re-rendering, so quality, text selection, and form fields stay intact. Runs entirely in your browser.

    Step-by-step guide

    1. Upload the PDF. Drop in the file. Thumbnails generate automatically; larger documents take a few seconds.
    2. Drag pages to reorder. Click-hold on any thumbnail and drag it to its new position. Other pages shift to make room.
    3. Experiment freely. The original PDF is never touched — rearrange as many times as you need.
    4. Download. Click Download Reordered PDF. The new file saves automatically in your chosen order.

When page reordering is the right tool

    • Fixing pages scanned in the wrong sequence by an auto-feeder.
    • Moving an executive summary to the front of a long report.
    • Alphabetising a batch of scanned contracts within one PDF.
    • Reordering chapters after a book structure change.
    • Promoting the signature page to the front of a legal package.

    Tips

    • Reorder vs split-then-merge. To change order, use this tool — it's a one-click operation. Splitting then merging is slower and produces the same result.
    • Need to delete pages after reordering?Run the output through Delete Pages.
    • Rotating pages? That's a separate tool: Rotate PDF. Reorder first, then rotate.
    • Merging into a new order is easier here than in a PDF editor.Drag-and-drop beats cut-paste navigation.

    Frequently asked questions

    Does reordering re-render pages?

No. Pages are copied exactly. Text remains selectable, images keep original resolution, form fields persist.

Can I delete pages at the same time?

Not in this tool — it only reorders. After reordering, use Delete Pages to remove any you don't want.

Will internal PDF links still work after reorder?

Internal links that reference pages by absolute number will point to the new page at that position. Most modern PDFs use named destinations which continue to work correctly.

    Is there a page limit?

No. Thumbnails for very large documents take longer to generate but reordering itself is instant.

Do my files leave my device?

    No. Everything is browser-local.
